Hello World

This feels a little strange to write. Almost awkward because a first post is supposed to be light and easy, but funerals and talking about death isn’t exactly light or easy. Still, I wanted to start somewhere.

Behind the Funeral is a space for the things we don’t always say out loud—the quiet thoughts, the awkward moments, the raw edges of grief, and sometimes the unexpected beauty that shows up in the middle of it all.

“Hello World” is the traditional way of starting something new. It’s simple, almost playful. And maybe that’s fitting. Because even while funerals mark endings, this space is meant to hold beginnings too—of conversation, of reflection, of seeing death (and life) a little differently.

So this is me, saying hello. Thanks for being here. I don’t know exactly where this will go yet, but maybe that’s the point.
